Pictures of buildings designed in scetchup during our workshop in november 2011.

Museum designed by A.B.

I made a house with a lot of windows to try to let the lights in. This house has always been my favorite to make, and I really enjoy making it. I made the entrance with a fountain and a palm tree outside. J.B.L.

I decided to build the swimming bath because it is a thing we all have used some time in our life, or are going to use. In the task we had to build something with red in it, so I choosed to paint the walls red. Indoors I decided to make a whirlpool and a usual pool with big windows so you can look out to in nature. The walls and floor are round and that makes it more “modern”. The square is supposed to be the changing room. I also made a swimming pool outside, so on a sunny day you can swim in that pool and sit in the sunbeds. N.G.P.

This is my dream house. The most important for me is that the house has to be big. And I also want a large terrace. And I've always wanted a red door on my house. A.B.B.

My building is meant as a hotel. With a garden/park and a parking lot right outside. It is two floors, on the primary floor it’s a lobby, a bar and a restaurant. On the first floor its only hotel rooms, some of them whit balconies.T.K.Ø.

Year 2050
Global warming, the Iceberg's last song
Churches are modernized, everything is new
Pointy shapes, yet a neutral tower
Architecture seeking attention
Passion, light and space for thoughts and belief. E.L.L.

My «Fabulous» building.
My building are actually a very different car-logo museum. I wanted to do something different then they usually buildings. So then I used my «fabulous» imagination and used some vintage, bricking og plenty of other strange stuff. Really I don’t know what to call this, I made a tunnel under the building to make a funny effect out of this.I.J.O.I.

I started with a square and a circle, and just went around and got a cool shape. H.B.L.

I wanted to design residential that suited me and my dreams, and this
was my result. I was inspiered by a very futuristic style, and I would love to have a
house that is modern, open and with lots of room for sunlight to come in. Though I didn’t
get to finish the house completely, this is as close as I got. R.S.

Since i love cinemas, I’ve decided to design a modern building that gets attention. The mix of the details in glass, grey shapes with straight lines and red columns makes it to an even more interesting building.  The red columns really get a lot of attention, and are an eye-catcher wherever the cinema stands.  Since it’s lifted from the ground, it seems lighter despite its dark color. It’s a building where you can watch movies, but also enjoy the view beyond the city on the huge terrace on the top of the roof. C.A.W.S.

I started with a circle, but wasn’t sure what kind of building I wanted to make. I wanted to keep working with the circles and I wanted it to be a lot of light coming in, ‘cause as I worked I found it was a kindergarten. I was inspired by the ladybird. When people look at it I want them to think “It’s a kindergarten”, a fun place for kids. It kind of reminds me of a house in a TV-program for kids. C.Ø.

My building is a museum, because I really like museums. They're interesting and often funnylooking, which I think is the coolest about them.  A.B.

My building is a public house, standing in the middle of a park surrounded by water. I wanted to make something that no one has seen before, and it’s a future temple. V.D.M.

This building is divided into 3 different buildings.
A building for tickets, toilets and candy, and the other two buildings is where the screens lay.
I love cinemas so that is the reason I choose to build it.
I had no specific inspiration for my building.
I used colour like red on the text and the roof where the movie screen’s is. K.B.B.

Office Building. I wanted to design an office building that was original and open; because that’s the kind of office I would like to work in. I wanted it to be filled with light and inspire the workers. All the glass will hopefully bring them closer to the outdoors and give them spirit trough the workday. I also think the sharp crystal shapes of the red glass gives an interesting look.  O.M.R.

I made a house with a lot of big windows to let the light in. Some of the reasons why I chose big windows is because I think it’s even nicer and it’ll fit with a big chandelier. Its also my dreamhouse. M.R.H.

This building is for everyone,
Both young and old.
For those who want a day to just relax,
And let the day flow by with a relaxing massage,
Or maybe in a hot tube with your nose up in the sky?
A place where children can play, while their parents can listen to Billie Ray.
Spa and Wellness, that’s the thing! C.B.

When i choose to build this building i got inspiration from greek ruins and greek temples. The inspirastion is mostly from the tall pillars, but also from the fantastic beauty of the old buildings in Greece. My building is a Museum, and it's function is to show and learn eager people about greek. The style of the building says itself. It's white, simple and geometric. H.S.

I have made a hotel with a very clean and modern look. It’s build up by squares in different shapes, and fits into the category “functionalistic.” I wanted the hotel to have a young and lively expression, but I also wanted it to be classy and inviting. I find good and exciting outdoor – opportunities very important, so I tried to make it that way with bathtubs and glass walls. The glass walls give an exciting expression in addition to bring a lot of light into the building. I really appreciate the natural light, which is why I chose to have a lot of big windows all around the hotel. I chose the color white because is a very clean and bright color. The red details give the hotel a young and fresh look. I hope you will come to visit some day! K.S.S.

This is my fantastic building. This is a cinema. This cinema is round.
And the screen is all over the whole wall in a circle. The sits move automatically around and it feels like you are the person in the film.
The building looks impressive from the outside. It’s an eyecatcher and totally modern. There is no cinema like this in the world. It is absolutely FANTASTIC!
